[Voyage-linux] Garbled HyperTerm

I have a Soekris net4501 that has been running LEAF for quite a while
and I'm looking to upgrade it to a full blown Debian.  So far Voyage
looks like it fits the bill.  I have loaded it on a 256 MB CF card and
it seems like it loaded up without any problems.  The issue is when I
try to boot it up and watch the boot up process using HyperTerminal on
a Windows machine.  The text appears all garbled.  I would guess that
I need to use a different terminal emulation or something.  I've tried
a few but they all seem to leave the text messed up.  Am I looking at
the right thing?  Do I need to look elsewhere for my solution?
