[Voyage-linux] voyage and 2.4 kernel?

Thanks for the info on the 2.4 kernel. I'll give that a whirl.
My application requires USB, provided by a 3.3v USB-to-PCI card. The
issue I am having is that the net4501 locks up on restart about 50% of
the time. And if it does come up, I'll usually get an error and the
Soekris net4501 locks up when I try to access something hanging off one
of the USB ports. If it doesn't come up, the machine will usually halt
during the hotplug section when probing the USB devices. And if it
*does* come up, I'll always be able to lock the net4501 up when I try to
actually access a device hanging off the USB controller.
One of the errors I get a lot is:
usb 2-2: control timeout on ep0out
If you Google for that error, you'll see a number of references to
unfixed USB related bugs in the 2.6.x kernels.
I *might* have better luck using the net4801 since it has hardware level
USB support but I am trying to keep my costs down and I don't need the
bells and whistles of the net4801. I'll have no other choice if I can't
get the net4501 to work with the PCI-to-USB adapter, though.
