[Voyage-linux] Maximum Distance

Hi Solomon,

voyage linux is not different as any other linux WAP distro or other 
commercial acces points. The difference is that commercial access point 
does not allow (execpt some brand) to increase the power transmit. with 
voyage you can, with 'iwconfig set txpower ....' but still it depends of 
the mPCI and the brand. For the maximum distance there is not limit except 
the antenna gain, for which you need a YAGI or grid directional 
one....well, to anwer to your question I tried to establish a 5km link 
without problem, line of sight clear, no trees or buildings, it was between 
a land point on the edge of the see and a small atoll in the see...;-))
There is a lot of literature on internet about long wireless links.
