Hi,
thanks Punky. I upgraded my kernel as suggested in
your mail (i hope so) and proceeded to apt-get the
madwifi-tools.

It downloaded alright but failed to unpack complaining
that there was a conflict, that athsats in the tools
package was conflicting with one already installed in
the madwifi package.

Is madwifi-tools a complete replacement for madwifi or
a complement? If a complement (as i suppose), how do I
install the tools? Any help?
