[Voyage-linux] Lilo key table error

What causes lilo key table errors? I can reproduce them every time by
doing this:
remountrw
vi /etc/network/interfaces
I then edit eth0 and set it up with a static address and save the file
remountro
reboot

Upon reboot I get the Lilo Keytable checksum error. This happens with
every wrap I have tried it on (3) and every flash disk I have tried it on
(3).

What am I doing wrong?
