[Voyage-linux] releasing /dev/ttyS0 from the console once booted...

hi,

I've just joined the Voyage list. I saw this post in the archives:

but I didn't see any replies in the thread. I've just started using
Voyage on a WRAP board, and I'd like to do this, too. The WRAP board
only has one serial port, so it's kind of mission critical that I free
it up somehow.

Is it possible to disconnect the console from /dev/ttyS0 once it has
booted? Or do I need to get a new kernel? It would be nice to have the
flexibility to keep using /dev/ttyS0 as console for booting, but then
free the serial port up by some command that could be executed before an
application loads that needs the port.

Any advice appreciated.

-Mark
