[Voyage-linux] serial port on net4511

Can the serial port on a net4511 be  used for something other than 
console access?   Ideally what I would like is for the board to boot 
with the console on.  Once I know it comes up fine, I want to shell in 
and turn the console off so I can use the serial port for talking to 
other things.
