[Voyage-linux] soekris boot failure

HI Guys,

I'm having trouble getting voyage to boot on a Soekris 4801 box, I've
have built several of these in the past with no problems until now.
I'm using the same image as before with the same CF card and installing
monowall works ok. I'm using a pcmcia to CF adaptor which makes the CF
card appear as /dev/hdc. I can see that the installation works ok and
there are no errors until I put the CF in the Soekris and it fails to
boot with the following error.

VFS Cannot open root device "301" or unknown-block(3,1)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
unknown-block(3,1)

I'm grateful for any help as I'm currently pulling my hair out!
