Understand what you mean now.  You are so unfortune (or lucky  ;-) ) 
that 2.6.14_2.0-6 is the *only* build I mistakenly compiled madwifi 
driver in-kernel.  All other kernel version does not have such problem, 
only 2.6.14_2.0-6.  2.0-7 (the latest) has been fixed and changed back 
to compile as module.
