Hello list,
I am trying to compile madwifi-ng driver modules to use with the
voyage linux.
For this first of all I've built custom kernel (because I needed some
other 3rd party modules as well). The kernel was built following the
instructions in the voyage linux wiki site (I got the .deb, installed
it, extracted, applied the config from the voyage site and created
kernel image .deb). When I tried compiling madwifi-ng for the sources of
the kernel I built, i got following error message:

  CC [M] /usr/src/madwifi-ng-r1416-20060126/ath_hal/ah_osdep.o
make[3]: *** No rule to make target
`/usr/src/madwifi-ng-r1416-20060126/ath_hal/hal.c', needed by
`/usr/src/madwifi-ng-r1416-20060126/ath_hal/hal.o'. Stop.
make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/src/madwifi-ng-r1416-20060126/ath_hal] Error 2

I think the error message is due to the madwifi-old patches applied to
the voyage kernel.
Trying to compile the madwifi-ng drivers for the stock linux kernel
worked fine.
My question is: what patches (besides madwifi-old) are applied to the
voyage kernel and maybe they are put somewhere to download. If not,
maybe someone knows which version (exactly) of madwifi-old was used when
patching 2.6.15 voyage kernel (so that I could reverse-patch the kernel :) )
Anyone who has tried to compile madwifi-ng drivers on voyage kernels pls
share your experiences ;)

Regards,
Vytautas
