[Voyage-linux] SNMP not returning full data

Can't see the forest for the trees. Turns out it was the paranoid
default setting that (partially) overrode the readonly access I had
entered for my mrtg server. It's possible the default settings changed
from earlier package releases or just that I forgot I had changed them.
What threw me off was that I could get the system information from the
daemon but nothing about the interfaces.
It doesn't appear necessary to do anything with the
/var/lib/snmp/snmpd.conf file, at least for my purposes.
Thanks for tickling my brain cells and hope the discussion helps someone
else.
