Srikanth,
Below you write:
“However when i unplug this card i.e "PCD-RP-101CS" and boot it with the
same modules loaded everything works fine.”
Does this mean that the EVDO interface (is that what you are calling the
“Ethernet interface?”) works fine when you insert the EVDO card after the
system boots, or are you saying that the system works fine w/o the
PCI-PCMCIA carrier board installed? It is hard to tell from your problem
description just what is going on.
I am not an expert at all in this stuff, but you may want to try to more
carefully describe what’s going on, to help people get an understanding of
what is working and what is not. It is also possible that trying a copy of
Voyage-Current may help, although I have not had the best luck in general
with PCMICA EVDO cards and Voyage (likely this has more to do with me than
with Voyage).
Cheers,
- Michael

Subject: [Voyage-linux] Getting PCD-RP-101CS card to work on voyage linux
Hi ,
Reposting my previous question with a typo corrected:
I am trying to get this card model "PCD-RP-101CS" with Ricoh chipset to
work along with Voyage. This is a PCI to PCMCIA card for inserting the EVDO
card. When i insert the card and boot it up i dont see nothing under
/proc/net/dev. The ethernet interface does'nt work. However when i unplug
this card i.e "PCD-RP-101CS" and boot it with the same modules loaded
everything works fine. What could be the difference and what kind of info i
should be looking for? syslog and dmesg does'nt provide any error condition.
I loaded yenta_socket,ds, pcmcia and pcmcia_core modules. Can anyone tell me
what could be going wrong? I have included info for this purpose. I am using
Voyage version 0.2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
