Hi,
I am trying to get an EVDO card pc 5740 up and running voyage linux 0.2.
However when i tried ppp dial it resulted in the system hangup. Ethernet and
serial ports dont respond.

The OS recognized the EVDO card and everything looked fine. Here's the
output from:
/proc/bus/usb/devices:

T: Bus=02 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=12 MxCh= 0

I was essentially following the steps provided in the following link
(including the script for PPP dialup):

http://kenkinder.com/evdo-pc5740/

I have'nt used the patches provided by the author in the above link.

Has anyone able to successfully bring up the ppp connection on this card
using voyage? If so please shed some light on it.

Here's what i see in the /var/log/messages at the point i run: pppd call
1xevdo (as shown in: http://kenkinder.com/evdo-pc5740/):

Dec 13 00:05:28 sri kernel: CSLIP: code copyright 1989 Regents of the
University of California
Dec 13 00:05:28 sri kernel: PPP generic driver version 2.4.2
Dec 13 00:05:28 sri pppd[2218]: pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0

<After this console and ssh sessions freeze and the system is un responsive>

Thanks
