[Voyage-linux] Soekris 4521 Atheros pcmcia support

Hmmm..
 Well I flashed 3 or 4 256M cf cards with voyage 0.3 and everything was clicking right along until I  ran iwconfig after install. No entries were shown for either of  2 
atheros based pcmcia cards loaded, indeed, no cardctl or cardmgr apps seemed to be available.I'm trying to migrate from pebble which uses the older madwifi drivers to more current madwifi-ng, however, pebble found these cards and powered them up from the start. Am I missing somthing here ? I chose the 45XX install which should have included pcmcia support for the soekris 4521. What am I doing wrong?
