Members,
I am dealing with a very distressing issue concerning voyage. I have downloaded and flashed 2- sansdisk cf cards. I have a mirror test setup using all identical hardware to the actual AP's now in service (running pebble). I hammer out the interface configurations and run them in the test setup to validate the operation of the hostap and madwifi drivers, and get the whole thing running, soft reboot, hard reboot, cycle power..everything I can think of, tweaking all the way, till it reboots and configures all interfaces correctly. Then I removed power from the board (soekris 4521), removed the cf cards and go onsite 20 miles away, climb 100ft.+ tower , open the AP enclosure, disconnect power ,swap out the cf card, and reconnect power. To my dismay the new cf cards boot up fine...but voyage has lost its ability to correctly configure the interfaces, eth0 :device not found, wlanX:device not found...what is going on with this! It's just a soekris 4521 with 2-senao pcmcia cards and
a atheros minipci. And power isn't an issue.
