[Voyage-linux] pxe booting soekris 4826

Hi,
I'm trying to follow the directions to pxe boot a soekris 4826 from the live cd and seem to be having some problems. The tftp daemon is running and assigned an ip to the soekris board . Baud set at 19200.  When it runs the pxelinux.0 file it slows waaaaay down giving me about 1 character per second and hyperterminal acts strange as all the characters are sequentially superimposed over one another.
Finally the pxe boot menu comes up but I, by this time, have lost input control.I can't enter any choice.It just sits there.Any pointers?
