[Voyage-linux] Problems patching 2.6.17

Hi,

I've been trying to patch my Ubuntu kernel and I get the following 
error.  Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this problem?

Is this patch supposed to be used with an already modified source tree?

Where is the source tree that I should be using?

# patch -p1 < 
kernel-patch-2.6.17-voyage_3.0-1.patch
can't find file to patch at input line 4
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
