[Voyage-linux] Linux build on

Hi ,
     I downloaded linux source from the following link:

http://www.voyage.hk/dists/0.3/linux/linux-source-2.6.17-voyage_3.0-3_all.deb.<http://www.voyage.hk/dists/0.3/linux/linux-source-2.6.17-voyage_3.0-3_all.deb>

I then extracted the source code with dpkg -i
linux-source-2.6.17-voyage_3.0-3_all.deb.
on my development
machine.<http://www.voyage.hk/dists/0.3/linux/linux-source-2.6.17-voyage_3.0-3_all.deb>

Then i compiled the kernel source. I did a dpkg -i on
kernel-image-2.6.17.14-ubuntu1_3.0-3_i386.deb image of the kernel after
compiling. I did this on a soekris box.

I would appreciate any help on this issue:

 Hmm. There is a symbolic link /lib/modules/2.6.17.14-ubuntu1/build
 However, I can not read it: No such file or directory
 Therefore, I am deleting /lib/modules/2.6.17.14-ubuntu1/build


 Hmm. The package shipped with a symbolic link
/lib/modules/2.6.17.14-ubuntu1/source
 However, I can not read it: No such file or directory
 Therefore, I am deleting /lib/modules/2.6.17.14-ubuntu1/source

Could not find where the current root file system is mounted!
Please make some arrangements for your system to boot the new
kernel (like running LILO, loadlin, SILO, QUIK, VMELILO, or
getting a boot floppy).
