[Voyage-linux] Recompiling madwifi for the WRAP

Hi,

I am having a bit of trouble recompiling madwifi for the WRAP. I know
that voyage linux comes with madwifi but there is a patch I need with
it so unfortunately the only option is to recompile the driver. I have
tried a number of things.

1) Running voyage, the live cd, in vmware server (giving it plenty of
memory to install gcc, build-essentials and the like. I tried this for
quite a while but for some reason the linux-headers weren't enough. It
kept coming up with an error looking for /build. Installing the kernel
source required too much space to run with just memory.

2) Compiling the drivers on debian etch. This seemed like a good option
becuase the gcc versions were the same. I grabbed the voyage-linux
source and extracted that. I also took the .config file from my current
WRAP and put that in the same directory as the voyage source. Finally I
pointed my madwifi make at the kernel source. The compilation does not
even begin. I simply get:

.config:18: *** target pattern contains no `%'. Stop.

Does anyone know where I might be going wrong.

Thanks in advance

Dave

PS: Not sure if anyone is aware of this but I had a bit of trouble
joining this mailing list. The instructions state "To subscribe, send
an empty message to

an email with the word subscribe in both the subject and body,
otherwise my email was rejected.
