[Voyage-linux] Watchdog Dissapearing

Hello Guys,
Another update... I've found a temporary solution to the problem, now this
to me seems totally bizarre but perhaps someone will have an idea as to why
it acts like this.
When I build the cf card, if I do it locally at the system with a keyboard
and mouse, then the watchdog device won't appear on the system when i place
the newly built card into the wrap board.
However, if I connect to my system using telnet, and then build the card, it
works perfectly and watchdog comes to life :-s
Any ideas why it would be different from building locally to connecting to
my system remotely? Seems insane!
Rob

Morning Michael,
Thanks for the info mate, I know the LM sensors can be a little tricky. I
have a little more information for everyone this morning on this.
I've done a completely new build this morning of 0.4 onto a compact flash
using GRUB and put it into a machine here in the office which I've seen the
watchdog working on before, and.... nothing! The watchdog device doesn't
appear, the device /dev/watchdog just doesn't appear. :-s
So it would seem that this isn't anything to do with the hardware itself,
and the software is a completely clean build so I'm guessing it's not really
anything I've done to the software.
I know that grub has caused problems in the past with WRAP, but I'm not sure
if that would effect this watchdog, everything else seems to be up and
running a real charm. I couldn't get a disk with lilo to build properly for
some reason.
Any thoughts on this guys? I need to get this sorted ASAP and would really
appreciate any help you can offer to diagnose the problem :-)
Thanks guys,
Rob

We have similar issues with some WRAPs, but only with the temperature
sensor. Rebooting helps there, however, and I'm not sure yet that this
issue isn't caused by my 2.4 port of the lm77 driver.
Bye, Mike
