I got Voyage Linux up & running on an Alix 2C3 yesterday. None of the
online guides worked for me. If I went through the install process it
worked up until the point where I ran voyage.update. That ran until it
started copying files, and then the system shut down. I tried 2
different computers & a virtual machine w/ the same results.
Here's what worked.
1) I used the instructions for "Installing to a Thumb-drive or
Disk-constraint system (net4826)." That got me a bootable CF card.
2) I booted the Alix board w/ the card mentioned above & a USB -> CF
adaptor
3) I followed the install instructions for installing Voyage Linux while
running it on the Alix board. It worked. I now have a functional
install of Voyage Linux. I can edit it, and apt-get works.
So far it looks good. I'll know more in a week or two. I'm not going
to have a chance to work w/ it for a few days.
