[Voyage-linux] Throughput issue on two-hop link

I've just set up a new two-hop backhaul using all ALIX boards but am
having a significant throughput issue that doesn't make sense to me.

  XR5                        DCMA-82      DCMA-82               DCMA-82
Home<--------Ch50------------>ath0,Middle,ath1<-----Ch149------->End
10.220.8.1                10.220.8.2    10.220.9.2           10.220.9.1

Running iperf from either end against the middle gives up to 30 Mbs but
running end-to-end barely yields the low teens. I've tried different
radios and many variations on channels but am still stymied by low
throughput when going through vs going *to* the middle node.

The ALIX boards are all BIOS 0.98 if that matters. Latest Voyage on
everything and pretty generic at that. No encryption at this point.

Anyone seen or experienced anything similar? I can give as many gory
details as needed.

Thanks,

Edwin
