hello, 
thanks for your help. i try to compile it, but it still has error. what i did:
1) download the linux-source-2.6.23-voyage, done
2) wget the 2.6.23 conf and cp to 

cp config-2.6.23-486-voyage_5.0-1 kernel-source-2.6.8-voyage/.config
 here, i am confused because it is linux-source or kernel-source? i think it is linux-source, i assume it is linux-source.
3) patch -p1 <   kernel-patch-2.6.23-voyage_5.0-1.patch.gz, i got the errors. it is:
voyage:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage# patch -p1 < kernel-patch-2.6.23-voyage_5.0-1.patch.gz
patch unexpectedly ends in middle of line
patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input.
voyage:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage#

4) run voyage:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage# make menuconfig
Makefile:275: /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage/scripts/Kbuild.include: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: line 0: [: -lt: unary operator expected
make: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage/scripts/Kbuild.include'.  Stop.
voyage:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage#
i think i have to stop here. something is wrong from my patch and sources.
any one can give me some hints?
