hello, friend:
I try to patch it from the follow, but i still got error:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
voyage:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.23-voyage# patch -p4 < kernel-patch-2.6.23-voyage_5.0-2.patch

Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:

Well, you have to gunzip it before patch it or you do :
gzip ¨Cd < xxx.gz | patch ¨Cp1

Subject: [Voyage-linux] where is kernel-source-2.6.8-voyage?
hello, users:
I try to recompile the kernel, but i have some problems. i do that based on
the link:
http://wiki.voyage.hk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=voyage_kernel.
i have linux source :linux-source-2.6.23-voyage. the confusion part is here:
--------------------------------------------------------
Downloading kernel configuration
Download the corresponding kernel config file from voyage.hk and put to
/usr/src:
wget
http://www.voyage.hk/download/kernel_config/config-2.6.8-486-voyage_2.0-3
cp config-2.6.8-486-voyage_2.0-3 kernel-source-2.6.8-voyage/.config
Kernel configuration files can be found here
.
Patching kernel
You can now apply your own kernel patch to voyage kernel, here are the
commands I use:
cd kernel-source-2.6.8-voyage
patch -p1 <

where is kernel source? is it linux-source? anyone knows that?
please give me a hint.
Regards!
