[Voyage-linux] Kernel Planning

We typically do custom kernels for our voyage field systems, but we 
start with and try and stick really close to the near current 
development Voyage build when possible.   It seems the current daily 
build is still running at 2.6.23 or so.  Most of our field stuff is at 
2.6.18 or 2.6.20, and I'd like to do a kernel I can upgrade stuff to for 
later this summer to get it up there some.  I was hoping to get to 
2.6.25, but at least my crude attempts to use the 2.6.23 kernel config 
with a the 2.6.25 process, a number of things get lost in translation, 
probably patches I am missing, and then other stuff.  It does compile a 
kernel, but what I am wondering is -- how does the summer look for newer 
Voyage kernel builds?  Is Voyage going to hang for a while a 2.6.23, or 
is it near ready top jump, and if so, to what rev?

I know this is just guesswork, but any insight is great.
