[Voyage-linux] Can't SSH in Alix upon initial install

I have finally (after a few frustrating moments with 2GB CF cards) installed
Voyage 0.5.0. on my new ALIX 3c2 I was able to login using the serial
console, but I can't seem to log in via SSH. The ALIX in pingable on my
network. Is there something special that needs to be done upon a fresh
install? I keep getting: ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.12 port 22:
Connection refused.
