Hi Chris,
I've found the same problem many times..
It seems just to be a fs corruption..
Each time I've seen this problem I was performed a shutdown throught an
"electrical interruption" :P
Look at into /etc/voyage-util file, at line 52 you can see that each
reboot remount the file system as writeable.
Reboot system 2 times, then delete this lines, that can be problematic
when you power off your machine..
