Hello,

we are using pppd with masq on several boxes with voyage up to v0.5.2 without problems. Dynamic and sometime with static IP. but we don't use the MASQ target anymore because of some problems in the past, we use SNAT target in all cases:

 # SNAT INT -> EXT
 iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o $EXTERNAL_INTERFACE -p ALL -j SNAT --to $EXTERNAL_IP

regards
 Hermann

Betreff: [Voyage-linux] Anybody using pppd on voyage-0.5.2 and masquerading?

Hello

Anybody using pppd on voyage-0.5.2 and masquerading?
With my very old version based on voyage-0.2pre1 it worked nice
now with voyage-0.5.2 it does not work anymore.
The rare thing is:
local generated traffic works fine.
i.e. ping wget etc.
BUT forwarded trafic:
ping does work
wget does NOT work
browsing of google ok
the most other pages does not work or if they do they have a very long
timeout...

Pretty nice. Could this have to do something with connection tracking?
Nobody having problems or not using pppd with dynamic ip?

Greettings

Beat
