Hi Robert,

it seems you are on a chrooted environment, to avoid those warning at 
the beginning:

locale-gen en_"your country here".UTF-8
export LANG=C LC_ALL=C

the "not in control info" might be 'cause you didn't set up the name in 
General Setup --> Local version - append to version

that solved the problem for me once...try doing a "make clean" first if 
it doesn't work.
