[Voyage-linux] Problems with alix 2d3 and madwifi on voyage-current (lenny)

Hi,
Do these experimental madwifi modules require a special kernel? I
tried the madwifi-modules-2.6.26-486-voyage_0.9.4~rc2-1+6.0-3_i386.deb
and things didn't work.
On a related note, I did apt-get upgrade recently. I notice doing
apt-get dist-upgrade follwing the upgrade didn't do anything different
(my impression is that the two commands do the same thing). How do I
know whether I am running the new 0.6.1? I started with 0.6.0. Sorry
for the dumb question, I am new to debian.
voyage:/home/orf% uname -a
