[Voyage-linux] Problems with rt2500usb/rt73 wlan in voyage 0.6 final

Hi,

I'm troubling myself with ralink usb sticks (RT2501USB) on Alix 3d3d boards.

Since the 0.6 final release I can't get them running anymore.
With the 0.6pre release of voyage linux I had to compile the modules
myself bit they worked without any problems.
Since 0.6 final the rt2x00 modules are included by default but they
dont'w work for me.

Here is what I observe:
An "ifup wlan0" makes the card associate with the ap, pump configures
the device (ip, gateway,...). But almost instantly after the dhcp
configuration I see the following error in syslog:

vmunix: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready.

After that iwconfig shows me that wlan0 is not associated anymore and
the interface is unusable.

This is independent of which type of encryption is used and also happens
when trying to connect to an unencrypted network.

This happens everytime and the above error is the only difference in
syslog from an alix box with 0.6-pre installed where the same card works.

I tried recompiling the kernel modules with no luck.
Even when I copy the working modules from the 0.6pre box to the 0.6 box
the problem remains. Which makes me start wondering if the problems lies
within the kernel modules...

BTW: The firmware for the ralink usb sticks is the same on both
installations (the one from debian non-free).

Does anybody has any clue on what might cause the problem?

Is there any chance to get the binary kernel package from voyage
0.6-pre. So that I can "downgrade" to it on the voyage 0.6 final
installation and see if the problem lies within the kernel at all?

Cheers,
Fabian
