[Voyage-linux] Re: MC8775/MC8790 With ALIX 6b2 - SOLVED

The difficulty found with Sierra Wireless MC8790 and voyage on ALIX 6b2
has been solved (by another voyage user, many thanks.)

The component was a voice enabled device, MC8790V. There is a hardware
incompatibility between this device and the ALIX 6b2.

The non-voice enabled version MC8790 works fine, with voyage 0.5.2.


The same is reportedly true of the MC8775V (not working) versus MC8775
(works).


I have got some lesser problems when using voyage 0.6.2, which will be the
subject of a following post.
