[Voyage-linux] Airmon-ng closes my ssh connection

I am running 0.6.0 on a net 4801.  When I try to put wifi0 (atheros
ar5112) into mon mode with airmon-ng it just hangs then closes my ssh
connection to the box.  Any ideas?
