Hello Rainer,

 The important point is the chipset used in the device.
Preferably use only a chipset that is supported by voyage.

The README file in the release mentions them, e.g. atheros, prism54 etc.

I've found atheros to be reliable (personal opinion, based on 4 types of
internal mini-PCI cards).

Look up any linux hardware support list e.g. http://linux-wless.passys.nl/
to find the chipset & driver corresponding to a given card.
