Hi Peter,
I still need to figure out why 0.5.2 works.
After diff'ing the kernel config. I found the IDE_GENERIC config is set
to "y" (in-kernel) in 0.5.2 but 0.6.0 onwards is set to "m" (module). I
also tracked config from debian etch and found it is compiled as
module. So I think even debian kernel would also need all_generic_ide
as well. Cross reference to RHEL5 kernels, I found it is compiled as
in-kernel. I will rebuild the voyage kernel using "in-kernel" settings
for IDE and test if there are impacts.
