Hi,
I ve downloaded the deb, installed, extracted the source and put the
config. Then I did
make-kpkg  kernel-image  --initrd

but I got an error

dpkg-gencontrol -DArchitecture=i386 -isp             \
                        -plinux-image-2.6.26

what does dpkg-gencontrol: error: package linux-image-2.6.26 not in
control info mean?
