[Voyage-linux] document for newbies?

Hi folks.

I'm considering using voyage linux for an application that I want to
run on an Alix board.

I've been using linux for a very long time, but the embedded world is new
to me. The most constrained system resource for my application will be
memory.

Is there a document that can explain the basics of how voyage works,
especially with respect to using RAM as a read-write file system? In short,
I want to allocate the vast majority of RAM for use by my application, and
not for the /usr/init/rw file system.
