I had a similar problem after I installed Asterisk. I solved it varying
the init load order, i. e. setting the astersik start link on a higher
start order than voyage-utils:
voyage:~# ls -1 /etc/rc2.d/S9*
/etc/rc2.d/S98rc.local
/etc/rc2.d/S98stop-bootlogd
/etc/rc2.d/S98voyage-util
/etc/rc2.d/S99asterisk
