[Voyage-linux] Voyage MPD with kernel/cpu w/o cx8 and cmov

Hi,

I have tried the following:

a) voyage-mpd-current.iso (downloaded 2010-12-09, 74692608 bytes)

Doesn't boot (same error message regarding cx8 and cmov).

b)
http://www.voyage.hk/dists/experimental/linux/linux-image-2.6.33.7-rt29-voyage_8.0-1_i386.deb
(downloaded 2010-12-09, 8318994 bytes)

Doesn't boot (same error message regarding cx8 and cmov).

c) voyage-current.iso (downloaded 2010-12-10, 57667584 bytes)

Boots fine, but USB HID keyboard IR remote control doesn't work at all
- not even as a normal usb keyboard.
uname -a:
Linux voyage 2.6.32-voyage #1 PREEMPT Wed Dec 8 04:37:31 GMT 2010 i686
GNU/Linux

I also took a look at Wikipedia regarding VIA C3/i686/cmov: According
to the german wikipedia article the old VIA C3 CPU implements most of
the i686 standard but not cmov. It also says that cmov is an optional
feature of the i686 standard, but compilers usually do not
differentiate between "i686 with cmov" and "i686 without cmov" - they
assume cmov is supported.
So it seems reasonable that i686 optimization does not work for the VIA
C3 CPU.

Regards
Andy
