However, I am now hitting some problems. The case completely blocks
the CPU fan (see photos in second link) resulting in ineffective
cooling, constant high fan rpm and fan noise. Within a few seconds of
popping off the lid the fan slows to a tolerable (very quiet) RPM.
This causes concern for deploying many of these boxes in remote
offices - will the heat cause stability problems?
I tried to install lm-sensors but sensor-detect couldn't find any temp
sensors. I'm sure they are there but the lm-sensors package for lenny
doesn't recognize them. There is a lot of forum chatter about this.
Compiling the latest lm-sensors would probably fix this.
Also, I am noticing a laptop connected to the USB ethernet adapter on
this board has a flapping interface every 14-15 minutes. Not sure if
this is being caused by the USB dongle or the kernel driver, or who
knows...
