[Voyage-linux] Why apt-get, why not aptitude?

Hi all,
  sorry, I am novice trying Voyage distro, but I choose it because I use Debian for years. It of course brings some questions and the first one is here. Why apt-get is used in Voyage instead suggested aptitude? Is it only by historic reasons or is something deeper what I cannot see from my position of new user?
