Hello Johann,
Are you using an Alix 1 (with graphics) or Alix 2/3/6 (no graphics)?
Are you using a hard drive, or flash disk?
If you have graphical Alix 1d and a hard drive, just try Archivista. It
might work. Standard debian generally works on Alix 1d with hard drive.
However, I assume you want to do command line scanning and OCR on an Alix
2/3/6 with flash disk.
You could try standard voyage and "apt-get install tesseract-ocr ocrad"
as well as any required scanner software such as 'sane-utils', 'libsane'
and maybe 'hplip'.
You need to select a scanner known to work with libsane.
It may take some effort to get everything working to your satisfaction
(well that's what I usually find with sane etc.)
