Hi,
recently I upgraded to 0.7 (voyage), squeeze (debian) "the debian way"
/etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main contrib
deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main contrib
# Custom repositories
deb http://www.voyage.hk/dists/0.7 ./
I installed 2.6.32-voyage afterwards, but udev complains about a kernel
feature:
Since release 150, udev requires that support for the
CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED
feature is disabled in the running kernel.
Please upgrade your kernel before or while upgrading udev.
AT YOUR OWN RISK, you can force the installation of this version of udev
WHICH DOES NOT WORK WITH YOUR RUNNING KERNEL AND WILL BREAK YOUR SYSTEM
AT THE NEXT REBOOT by creating the /etc/udev/kernel-upgrade file.
There is always a safer way to upgrade, do not try this unless you
understand what you are doing!
and indeed:
voyage:/boot# cat config-2.6.32-voyage | grep CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED
CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED=y
CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED_V2=y
but 2.6.30-voyage and 2.6.32-voyage are the only two -voyage branded,
available kernels
Does voyage 0.7 not match to debian squeeze? I could rebuild the kernel
from the voyage sources and deactivate the sysfs thingys, but shoudn't
there be precompiled one?
Regards,
Marcus Scholz
