[Voyage-linux] voyage.update missets /var permissions, and apt-get update shows inappropriate lilo warning

Hmm, it's possible I missed the "as root" part in the instructions, I see it's
on the next line (highlighted with>> <<) and an extra blank line between:
extract the software tarball:
tar --numeric-owner -jxf voyage-.tar.bz2
>> as root << , run the installation script:
I guess it's time to redo from scratch...
