Hello Punky,

I've installed the new kernel with headers through dpkg -i, I've done
'apt-get install alsa-source', idem for 'module-assistant', and m-a
prepare and update. When building it through m-a the thing it ends with
the error listed below:

###########################
@CONFIG_SND_KERNELSRC@/include/linux/pci_ids.h: No such file or directory
│ make[5]: *** [/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver/acore/memalloc.o] Error 1

│ make[2]: *** [compile] Error 2
│ make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver'
│ make[1]: *** [build-stamp] Error 2
│ make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver'
│ make: *** [kdist_image] Error 2

Is this the way I should compile/install alsa? If so, any thoughts on
the error?

I also seem to get an error every time I use apt-get install. The
relevant part of the error is listed below. I don't know if this is
related or if it is important. I don't use Grub but Lilo.

Kind regards, Maarten
