[Voyage-linux] Display garbled after boot [Was: 0.8.0_amd64 gives "XZ-compressed data is corrupt"]

@Rainer: I tried with 'video=atyfb:off' also (ref.
http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/debian-installer/ under Errata),
but no success.

Thanks to you that 'nomodeset' kernel parameter get me in. Thanks!
(meaning it is worth relying ubuntu forums even for voyage ;-)!
