Hello!
I am currently trying to compile a kernel for my new Intel D945GSEJT. I created a custom config based on the config found in /boot of the daily build version and enabled some things as SMP / SMT (hyperthreading), SpeedStep and softraid support in order to make better use of the capabilities of the board and CPU.
Unfortunately I am not able to compile the kernel. I tried both ways described in the wiki using Ubuntu in a VM but both ways lead to the same error:
Building modules, stage 2
MODPOST 612 modules
ERROR: "do_splice_from" [fs/aufs/aufs.ko] undefined!
ERROR: "do_splice_to" [fs/aufs/aufs.ko] undefined!
I found a topic called "Building custom kernel from experimental or AX25" but there is no solution because the requested feature is now enabled by default in the daily build.
Is there any solution for the problem? I have no idea what to do now and greatly appreciate any help and / or hints!
Best regards,
Mathew
