[Voyage-linux] removing madwifi and using ath5k

Indeed, blacklist doesn't appear to work.
So at the moment ath5k and madwifi are loading, and it seems that 
commands to create wireless interfaces using iw do not work until I do:

rmmod ath_pci
rmmod ath_rate_minstrel
rmmod ath_hal

Then I can do:

modprobe ath5k

and I get a phy that will allow me to use iw commands to create interfaces.

I have followed the instructions at 
http://wiki.voyage.hk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=ath5khowto.

So why wouldn't my blacklist work, any ideas?
Any other files I need to include to help you diagnose?
