Adding swapfiles is technically easy, however, people mostly agree it
ist not the best idea to run swap on FLASH storage like usb-pendrives or
CF-cards due to the limited write cycles.
If you still want to do it, you can
a) partition your pendrive and add a swap partition, e.g. /dev/sdb1,
then do 'mkswap /dev/sdb1' and add it to /etc/fstab like anywhere else.
b) mount the pendrive and add a swapfile to it, add the swapfile to
/etc/fstab
just like on a normal Debian installation wrapped in 'remountrw' and
'remountro'. http://wiki.debian.org/Swap
