[Voyage-linux] ALIX clock drift

Hello all,

I've been having some awful timing problems on ALIX boards with Voyage
0.7, to the point where my VoIP application is suffering from
artifacts in the audio.  It looks like completely broken timing, an
outward sign being "clock drift".  I read this thread from February
last year which describes the problem -

The two viable solutions seem to be -

1) use nomfgpt and break the watchdog

2) use a 1024Hz tick and keep the watchdog working (?)


How feasible is it to have a kernel ship with the Voyage distribution
that includes 2) specifically for ALIX boards ?
